Shane Shanahan has a love of all things music. He is an engineer, producer and owner of the famous Westpoint Studios in West London.

Starting life as a drummer in primary school, he moved onto Trinity Music School, where he studied drums and music theory while working for Digital Village repairing studio equipment. From there, he then moved onto a degree in Music Technology at Sheffield University where he received a first degree honours.

 

Once he had graduated from university aged 20 years old he started his first studio in St. Albans in 2004.

 

Over the next 10 years Shane cut his teeth in pop, urban, dance, indie, rock, jazz & gospel.

 

In 2012 he took ownership of Westpoint Studios in Shepard's Bush, where his client list grew further with the likes of: Adele, Kayne West,  Bullet For My Valentine, Dizzee Rascal, Emeli Sandé, Frank Ocean, Kygo, Kylie Minogue, Little Mix, London Grammar, Mumford & Sons, Pharrell Williams, Sampha  & Scott Walker.

 

In the past 3 years he has grown a strong relationship within the UK urban scene, with mixes and masters for artists such as: Abra Cadabra, Ay Em, Bridget Kell, Bugzy Malone, Cadet, Chip, D-Block Europe, Dappy, Fleur East, Gzuz, Headie One, K-Trap, Krept & Konan, Mo Stack, Morrison, Ms Banks, Noizy, Sharna Bass, SL, Snap Capone, Stormzy, Tinchy Stryder, Yxng Bane, Wretch 32 & WSTRN.
